Chapter on the New Evangelisation

CRACOW, Poland – Lord, increase our faith: This is the title of the Chapter of the Mats which will be held in Cracow from September 7-9, 2011. The event is promoted by the CECOC Conference and is centred on the new evangelisation. On the vigil of Pentecost, 2007, Benedict XVI invited the laity to share their experiences of proclaiming the Gospel and to say how this had been incorporated into a new mission of evangelisation. As part of this mission, during their Chapter the Capuchin brothers will give their witness and will also hear some experiences from members of the new Movements. “This is an attempt to open ourselves to conversion”, say the organisers of the Chapter of Mats, “to hear the Lord’s Word and to be open to the new realities in the Church, so that we can go out to proclaim the Good News to a secularised world”. This event is open to all the friars of Europe.
