PACC holds annual Meeting

SEOUL, South Korea - The Brother Ministers of the circumscriptions belonging to the Pacific-Asia Capuchin Conference (PACC) held their annual meeting at St. Paul’s Retreat House from November 23 to 26, 2009. The brothers centered their discussions on formation and collaborative work. Br. Rocco Timpano, General Secretary of the Office of Formation animated the brothers on the “View of Formation in the Order.” Br. John Antony, General Definitor to Asia discussed the possible avenues by which members of the PACC may collaborate with fellow members of the Conference and other Conferences of the Order as well. Br. Bernd Beermann, General Secretary of the Office of Justice, Peace and Ecology likewise presented to the brothers “Justice, Peace and Ecology in the Order” and focused on introducing the JPE’s Meeting on Migration in Bangkok, Thailand this coming April 26 to May 1, 2010. Before the annual meeting ended the brothers were able to draw up resolutions concerning formation and collaborative work by which the Conference would take concrete steps. One of these common resolutions was to encourage the member-circumscriptions to have the learning of the English language as part of their formation.
