ROME - On May 22 2012 it will be 300 years since the canonisation of Saint Felix of Cantalice. With the blessing of the General Minister, the Roman Province is planning a “FELICIAN YEAR”. Writing to the Provincial Minister of Rome, Br. Carmine Antonio De Filippis, Br. Mauro says: “Thins is a timely opportunity not only to plan various events and celebrations […] but to deepen even more our knowledge of this Saint of ours. Saint Felix of Cantalice, in fact, is more than just one among many saints in the Order; he is the corner-stone, the model, one might almost say the mould, for all the others“and we must thank God that so many other saintly brothers continue to “model” themselves after him” […] The Province of Rome is working hard to organise this Felician Year in the best possible way, with various events and celebrations. On the occasion of the tri-centenary we also expect a letter from the General Minister as a mark of the gratitude, joy and hope felt by the whole Order. A pilgrimage to the tomb of Saint Felix by the Capitulars of the 64th General Chapter is planned for September 9, 2012.
